When people think about volunteering for an animal-related nonprofit, they often picture walking dogs, cleaning kennels, or caring for homeless animals.
But behind every successful nonprofit are people working in ways the public rarely sees. Someone is raising money, spreading the word, making connections, and finding creative ways to reach new supporters.

At PennyFix, Every Volunteer Helps Prevent Suffering
PennyFix provides grants to nonprofit organizations that pay for spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations for dogs and cats.
Through the dedication of our entirely volunteer-run organization, we've helped make it possible for more than 10,000 animals to be spayed or neutered.
That's thousands of animals who won't contribute to unwanted litters, fewer puppies and kittens born without homes waiting for them, and less suffering in our communities.
Our next goal is 15,000 animals. But we need help getting there.
